Dear Family, Friends—
As I continue teaching high school English classes at Xenia Christian High School, I have yet another opportunity to help with the high school’s mission trip to Costa Rica this January 8-19, 2016. Perhaps you are thinking, “of course, she’s going again—that’s what she does every year.” But this opportunity is not a guaranteed trip in my life. There was a strong possibility this year—due to various factors at school—that I would NOT be able to go. Not until about two weeks ago did I find out that indeed the Lord does have it as part of His ministry plan this coming year to assist our Spanish teacher, Camille Clements, . Needless to say, I am not disappointed.
So here I come again—to you—to ask please for your prayer support as I . . .
. . . mentor high school students in their personal, ministry, and language endeavors;. . . work on my own language and personal outreach efforts (Camille and I are regularly called upon for not only informal Spanish language communication, but also for formal Bible story teaching to Costa Rican children);
. . . provide photography and communication support for the team and their parents (please follow along as I keep up the blog online xccr.blogspot.com).
Our team this year includes seven beautiful-inside-and-out young ladies and four strong-at-heart gentlemen. (Last year our team included only five, so this is a jump back to our usual numbers.) Camille and I have already seen strong efforts and enthusiasm in this new team. We are very excited!
Two of our team members are veterans from last year. In my follow-up letter last February, I told you how one of these young ladies shared “that God left in her heart the distinct message that this type of ministry is what she is meant to do in the future. Nicole also shares that she would definitely recommend this trip to other students. ‘It was an amazing opportunity to learn and grow with others . . . .’” 
So as the Lord leads you, I would appreciate your prayers this year, and as the Lord leads, any financial support. Costs for me will be $980. (Information in that regard found below). Either way--please “come along” with me in your prayers!
